Wasn’t exactly planning on this the day before leaving for the holidays, but she was a trooper! And so much attention at the airport for the coolest boots and brightest cast! 💛 So grateful she’s not in pain (anymore). Just a minor fracture after a fall at school.

Writing/singing/playing songs, petting or playing with animals, looking for letters and words, make-believe, painting, running outside, bike rides, going fun places, eating...the sweet life of Luella. My heart nearly burst when she was born 3 years ago (this past Sunday) and has never stopped expanding. She is such an incredible joy. She also loves dance parties, reading, giving everybody flu shots, gardening, and of course playing with her sweet friends...but definitely not naps. I’m so grateful for your life, my sweet baby girl. 💕

These daily sketches this past week have been coming to me with much greater speed, ease, and joy than my 100 day project was, so I’ve switched to this practice for now. I was craving paper and ink so I bought myself a new #artjournal (sketchbook). These are more about shape and scribbles and color and speed (so as not to overthink) and imperfection and play...and using whatever tools are within arms reach, without specific parameters. I’m trying to channel my inner child by copying my daughter. 😂 Also no limits to media. Pencil, paint, marker, pen, watercolor pencil, maybe a crayon or sharpie here or there. I currently believe that fluorescent pink is highly underrated but certainly transformative. 🤪 Here’s to all the speedy joyful productive things. #createeveryday #cotfa #carveouttimeforart #sketches #scribbles #drawing #acrylic #ink
